[Inspired by ...] Dorothea Lange

Lange was, IMHO, one of the greats of 20th-century documentary photography.

1) the New York MoMA exhibition "Dorothea Lange Words and Pictures," which includes both a detailed look at the iconic Migrant Mother and Lange's use of words with images,
